La Playita Torito is a tucked away oasis in Guanajuato. Thank you, Alex, Carolina, and Consuela, for being a helpful, flexible súper hosts! I will be back to stay here again. The pool is luscious! Multi-level outdoor terraces have great views of the Guanajuato hillside and are the perfect spots for breakfast, bbq, or just lounging in the hammocks. The unit is extremely clean, tidy, and had everything you'd need. Even the bed was super comfy. If you can, don't miss the sunrise kayak tour of the sunken church in the experiences section. It's beautiful and worth the early wake up time!

This place was just what it looked like in the pictures. The pool was so nice to use during the hot days, very private and being able to connect to Alexa made it more enjoyable. The kitchen had all the essentials you need and the space was very clean. The rooftop had an amazing view. Alex was very attentive and did all he could to make us feel comfortable. He left a few recommendations of things to tour or places to eat that we definitely appreciated to have. Extremely recommended, the place is very close to downtown but also not so it doesn't get noisy at night.

We loved staying here! Our favourite place in Mexico. Loved that the outside/pool area was so close to the apartment. Although small, it had everything we needed and was so well done designed. We very much appreciated the water, coffee, yoga matts and projector too. The perfect place!

Our stay in Guanajuato was amazing and exceeded expectations in every way. The Airbnb was located right on the Jardín Embajadoras, a park filled with street food and vendors throughout the day, making it easy to grab fresh handmade tortillas and gorditas anytime. We could walk out the door and onto a bus to centro or walk there in minutes. But it was also very tempting to just stay home! Our whole family enjoyed the unique amenities, like the projector for movie nights, the hammocks overlooking the colorful hills and sunsets, the room-darkening curtains, and even the piano. The pool was always warm and crystal clear, and the host went above and beyond by installing safety gates at the pool and patio, letting us relax and not worry about our little ones. The host's thoughtful recommendations and the vibrant neighborhood made this a perfect stay—we'd return in a heartbeat!

This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we've had! The apartment is lovely, comfortable, and well-organized. We stayed for a month, so we wanted a place that would be pleasant to be in on the days when we just wanted to relax. This apartment was perfect. The pool was sparklingly clean, the roof deck was spacious and comfortable, and the views were amazing. The surrounding garden (just for viewing!) is magical. You can have a fun movie night with the projector and screen in the bedroom. The location couldn't be better. The historical center is an easy walk away, there is a wonderful park and market just across the street, and local busses stop right outside the building. Alex was quickly responsive to any needs we had and checked on our well-being during our stay. Of the other guests we met during our stay, several of them had stayed at the property before. So I guess we're not the only ones who think it's a special place!

This was an amazing bungalow!!! Beautiful, clean, so well set up, we had everything we needed in a very convenient neighborhood. The pool outside rooftop area were incredible too. I can't recommend it enough.

I have stayed in a variety of places in Galatto. Alex's remains one of my absolute favorites. The neighborhood is more than convenient. It's lovely and verse. It has everything you need within a few minutes walk, but it's also the way he's appointed the place and just keeps it lovely. There's no question but we will be back. Thank you!

Great place! The bed is so comfortable!! I loved all the amenities - filtered water, yoga mats, nice hangers in the walk in closet, and plenty of spices if you want to cook. I loved watching the sunset on the balcony and I became close friends with the other guests, which was a unexpected bonus! The location is great, I loved getting fresh juice next door.

The apartment, the location, the host...everything was perfect during my month-long stay in La Playita Palmerita. The apartment is not large but is equipped with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The light and view from the windows give the feeling of being up in a treehouse. And it is completely quiet inside when the windows are closed. I also loved the shared rooftop terrace and amazing pool, along with the possibility of sometimes connecting with other guests. The location, surrounded by garden and perched up above the plaza below, is truly amazing. Although it requires navigating quite a few stairs, it is absolutely worth it. Alex has created a true Airbnb gem.

This is truly one of the mostly thoughtfully set up airbnbs I have encountered. And as actions speak louder than words, I will also note that I have already booked another month to return in the spring. Alex is very proactive in his communication and there is a lot of helpful information with QR codes in the apartment. I loved that the location felt a little more local than the center of town and yet you were still only minutes away by foot. Fantastic internet for working remotely.

Awesome house! Excellent for a group of friends or family. Three very separate spaces and a fantastic pool and outdoor space nestled in the hills of Guanajuato within a three minute walk to everything! Right in the thick of it all. The design on the house and the decorations are worth the price. You can tell Alex in an artist. Comfortably sleeps 9. Would live to be back.

This was my second time staying at Alex's property, and it keeps getting better. Two years ago, I enjoyed the cozy bungalow; this time, we brought a few more friends and rented the entire place. The location is ideal — close enough to the valley floor that grabbing groceries or heading out for a bite is effortless. Unlike many spots tucked higher into the hills, this one offers easy access without sacrificing the view. The neighborhood is peaceful, and the scenery is stunning. Whether you're relaxing in the pool or gazing out from the expansive windows, the vistas are equally breathtaking. It's the kind of place that invites you to unwind. Alex is a fantastic host — responsive, proactive, and thoughtful. I plan to return regularly and hope this gem is always available when I do.

Great stay! We were in town for a wedding. The location was beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. Although we were extremely close to the downtown area, we felt secluded and the home is very private. Alex was a wonderful host. He was so helpful, send clear instructions, and has a great team of people that help keep things running smoothly! We hope to visit again soon.

Spacious, comfortable house with lots of space, pool/jacuzzi, and a neighbor's cat who would often greet us on our arrival. There was coffee in the kitchen and beer in the fridge by the pool, and regular maid service was included. Alex was a great host; he provided clear check-in/check-out instructions (including a video showing how to navigate the front entrance and find the keys), and his restaurant recommendations were spot-on. This is a great location, right on the edge of Zona Centro and an easy walk to the La Presa neighborhood (worth a visit if you want to experience a more low-key part of town).

My family had a wonderful stay at Alex's place. It was clean, well furnished, and really cute! Alex included so many thoughtful amenities, like earplugs, a zapping fly swatter, a coffee maker, and electric kettle in every unit. There were plenty of towels and kitchenware. We are four senior aged siblings and there were 8 of us including spouses and adult children, so renting the three units worked very well. We met on the wonderful rooftop patio to visit and share experiences, but we each could have privacy if needed. We were there during the Cervantino Festival so it was a bit noisier at night with occasional car alarms and barking dogs at night (thus the earplugs), but all the beds were comfortable and we slept well. Alex also included restaurant recommendations and all the ones we tried were very good. Highly recommended!

Alex's Airbnb was a fantastic and spacious location, perfect for our group of 5 adults. The property was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. We rented all 3 apartments, which offered stunning views, especially at sunset. The beautiful orange tree by the pool added to the charm, and there was plenty of clean drinking water available. Coffee was provided, and the city views were incredible. The location was very convenient, and Alex was an outstanding host, providing clear communication and ensuring everything was well-organized.

We loved the apartment and especially the location which is close to town center but far enough away to feel like a different neighborhood, out of the fray. So many shops, food stands, bakeries, local produce and supplies within steps. The beautiful garden and shade trees are a welcome respite at the end of the day. Views are excellent without the grueling climb to get to some other Airbnbs in the area. As others have said, you need to be confident in your balance on the steps between floors isn't a problem if you're careful. We loved the pool which is very clean and a perfect temperature. Beds are so comfy and the sheets are nice cotton, plus great pillows. Excellent showers too. Alex left all sorts of treats for us at check in. Such a great Airbnb!!!! We absolutely loved it.

This is from far the absolute best airbnb of Guanajuato. Where to start? First a five star attention from Alex. Everything was made smooth and easy, great communication and so many details for us in the house from fresh fruit baskets to coffee beans. Then: the house. Hard to believe you can find such a vast place right in the city center. We (very) comfortably fit 8 people, each with their own kitchen and bathroom. The views from the terraces and the pool are amazing, and the house is so well equipped that for the first time, everyone preferred staying at home than visiting. I can't list all the amazing equipments but I would love to have half of these at home!! We'll definitely be back. Thanks Alex for everything you are a tremendous host.

I never write reviews but this was just so good of an experience that I had to write one! First, the airbnb itself was AMAZING. The most stunning Airbnb I have ever stayed in and everything you needed was there for you. He even had tote bags in some of the rooms to use during your stay. The location was also absolutely perfect. We were able to walk to all of the places we needed to go to, couldn't have been better. The views from the Airbnb, the amenities, the decoration, everything was perfection. To top it all of, Alex was the best host! He was so quick to respond to any messages. We had one issue arise and he came to solve it immediately. The customer service was top notch. I can't say enough good things. I will be recommending this place to anyone who listens. If you needed a sign, this is it!

We had a group of friends for my husband's 40th birthday party and rented out the whole place. By the end of the trip, we were wishing it was our own place! Location to downtown activities, local restaurants and markets were spot on. The lay-out was amazing and offered us ample room and ability to hang out and yet have our own private bungalows for privacy. The pool was fantastic. It was hot during the day so we would start in the morning and make our way back in the afternoon for some pool time. The outdoor dining room was a favorite location as well where we could hang for morning coffee, read in the hammocks or eat dinner together. We have been to Guanajuato 2 other times and stayed in hotels and this was hands down THE best place to stay. Thanks to Alex and Conseulo for making the place clean, fun and beautiful! Incredibly beautiful and clean home in downtown Guanajuato. Only a 10-minute walk to Teatro Juárez. Very peaceful too. Alex was very responsive throughout our stay and answered every single question we had. The pool and the terrace are amazing! I would definitely come back with my family.

Perfect place for our one week stay (8 adults and two kids). We enjoyed the heated pool, the terrace with the amazing view of the city, the location (walking distance to city centre) and having independent fully-equipped apartments to ensure privacy. The host puts great attention to detail (welcome bottle of wine/beer in terrace fridge, bbq available, projectors in each room…). We would definitely return!

This was our groups 1st trip to Guanajuato, and we all left saying, "When can we come back". Part of that was because of Alex and his accommodations. We had 7 people and rented out all 3 apartments and it was perfect! There is a market across the street where we went daily to get street food as it was tastier, quicker, and cheaper than any restaurant we went to. You are only about 10 min walk to the "touristy" part of Guanajuato. Which I liked getting to experience other parts of the city. If you are looking to come to Guanajuato, and Alex place is available, don't wait and just book it. I promise you won't regret it!
